Assault Gun — Scripted Campaign for the STuG… Removed?

Campaign has been removed from this IL2 Sturmovik: Great Battles> Scripted Campaigns forum with no explanation that is.

Might be a mistake in the clean up process? We will just have to wait it out I guess

 

I see a lot of the older campaigns just aren't a sticky any more, but that one is recent.

Considering the Campaign wasn’t a “Sticky”, whatever that has to do with it’s removal. The original question remains.

Campaign was removed from the IL2-Sturmovik: Great Battles > Scripted Campaigns forum with no explanation.

Maybe they moved it to the tank crew forum? That said, its not like there is a sea of new campagins comming out either official of not so when we get new ones they shoud be adventised more and not deleted! ?? scripted campagin is where this game really shine in my opinion. ?

No doubt. My guess would that Warthog here got excited without marching orders to start culling “Stickied” campaigns or not in this instance with no explanation on removing the Campaign from this forum.
 

Which made no sense in the first place as many more people visit this forum initially for news of new, good, bad, working and/or constantly broken campaigns that ever visit TC or RoF forums. 

Hence my decision to post about the campaign here considering Assault Gun is arguably the most immersive, well designed and historically researched campaign or other playable offering available for TC in addition to using a collector vehicle creating interest to other IL2-Sturmovik Great Battles products.

Call it like I see it folks.

Still no explanation btw.

still cant play cause the description/ game missions do not show ie i hit start and it says i need to select a mission first but theres nada to choose from, any thoughts?

I have no words honestly, its one thing to do a sticky for a campaign that still is working but a campaign or a single player mission should never be deleted because:

1. Preserve history

2. Maybe some one could fix it

 

Guys, for some players the scripted section is the first forum they visit even before going to general forum.

I understand that you want to "clean" so users will have a better experience navigating but please check twice, 5 times before moving the cursor on a delete button - user generated content is too precious to be handled without any caution.

version 5.004c Campaign works fine. Recheck how you installed it as directed by the Readme in 6 different languages. Campaign itself it has all descriptions in Eng, Ger, Fra, Rus, Pol and Spa. So if your game is in any of these languages you will certainly have the descriptions.

To Install for Campaign Play:
1)    *Download the Zip and extract the enclosed "data" folder to your C:\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad folder or wherever/however you have your pc set up to play BoX.

Campaign requires the following IL-2 Great Battles Series module and collector vehicle to work:
IL-2 Sturmovik: Tank Crew – Clash at Prokhorovka
STuG-III auf. G

Campaign works fine Zeev.  You are correct that most players will look in this topic for new campaigns. 

 

kaizerhund4 has a problem either with installation or some other reason. The original topic with download link here was deleted due to a similar post in the TC forum.
