Is there any mod to simulate one person walking around airfield from 1st person view?

Is there any mod to simulate one person walking around airfield from 1st person view?

 

I suddenly realize that with VR we get a sense of size, relative size that is much more accurate, and I was considering building an airfield with each type of place, to get to visit each one and compare.

 

I am under the impression to have seen at some point such a mod, but the search functionality in the forum is so ineffective...

Outside of my ability but the 'simplest' way of doing it would be;

 

Hit F11 to get a free camera.

 

Then if a single key could be pressed and the camera moved forward at a very slow rate, the view could be controlled by the mouse (head looking around), but hit F11, drop the camera to head height wherever you want it, and then all a mod needs to do is be able to create a programmable key that just moves the view forward at (in human terms) 3mph?

Driving a tank around in unbuttoned hatch view is a close approximation to walking. My guess is that if a mod was possible it would be based on a vehicle, probably one of the two default tanks. ORBX did something similar to this with their "Bob" first-person mod for MSFSX by underpowering the default ultralight, making it invisible, and replacing the engine sounds with footsteps.

I used that SdKfz10-5 for an occasional touristic trip, with driver window down. A player Willys would be better however.

You do have this in my campaign The Kuban Wall that you can download as a full scripted campaign or as a single mission. 

 

Download Mission 04 Scramble. To play it you need a few things to install and check my post on that here.

At the start of that mission you will experiment yourself as a player in full action on an airbase but on the ground until you catch your plane and fly.
