greybeard_52 Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 Not sure it is a bug (if not, I would like to know the reason), but I notice this plane (on the contrary of all others having constant speed propeller) does have its prop pitch set to maximum at take off (start on runway); this causes (if not promptly corrected by player) failing of takeoff procedure, since RPM remains to minimum.
1CGS LukeFF Posted February 4, 2023 1CGS Posted February 4, 2023 Lol no, not a bug. Every single plane with an adjustable prop RPM lever has it set to 100% if the mission starts with the engine running.
greybeard_52 Posted February 5, 2023 Author Posted February 5, 2023 14 hours ago, LukeFF said: prop RPM lever has it set to 100% I think there is a misunderstanding: I mean that prop pitch is set to maximum, that's to say the relevant RPM will be minimum. In other words, anyone can check inside the Spitfire Mk.XIV cockpit as currently modeled, that prop pitch lever is all the way backward, this does not allow engine to reach its max RPM - lever at takeoff should be, exactly as you said, fully forward, set to 100%. Please try, it'll require a few minutes...
