Raptorattacker Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 (edited) Hi Is there any chance that the DC3 can be given the metallic 'shine' please? With this beast it seems to have reverted to the old days of not-reflective bare metal that we were subject to before it was rememdied around the time that the P-51 and first P-47 were released. There is a LOT of metal on the Dakota and it really does look awful if we as skinners are trying to make anything with bare metal. One more problem as well. The spinner hub on the P-47d 22 suddenly became white (when spinning) after one of the last 2 updates. It does it on ALL skins, both default and custom-made. Also the reflectivity on this plane is lacking the reflective qualities as well... Please can we do something about this and ensure that all future planes are gifted with this holy grail, not just selectively? Thanks in advance Rap Edited January 30, 2023 by Raptorattacker 2 24

Hanu Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 (edited) Hmm, I thought this was not an issue. At least IMHO my OH-VKB had quite good metallic look, or am I missing something? I had to tune the metal color's hue a bit towards blue in the template. Edited January 31, 2023 by Hanu 1

How about ALL planes? Isn't the ability to do so within the graphics engine? Maybe someday incorporate Physically based rendering (PBR) like some other (cough, cough) sims have for many years? Roughmets are so much more user friendly and capable than manipulating alphas. 1

I don't think it's just 'the engine' that will cover ALL planes and then the problem will be solved (otherwise they would all have the effect already, surely?). It's best to keep this subject as devoid of discussion as possible really and just make the point by upvotinng it (in my humble opinion). The point of the request will then be made a lot clearer without anyone having to wade through tons of diverse input. 3
