I just finished reading a book about the Battles around Rzhev. The German 50mm guns had great difficulty penetrating the armour of a T34 at distances over 400m and they used captured T34's to hold the line against soviet tank penetrations. It was with met with great dismay when the last of these captured T34's was finally knocked out.

A few weeks later...  the rasputiza has arrived.

 

The same tank skin but now with more weathering applied on top. The colouring has changed significantly.

Off topic but wasn't that fully working T-34 years back on youtube that was pulled out of a bog found with German markings on it? IIRC I think so. Was amazing that it fired up and the guns worked.
