choctaw111 Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 I've had every version of Il2 on my system starting from the demo in 2002. I even have modified versions which are fantastic! Just today I went to fire it up again and the into screen is magnified and won't fit on the display. Then gets to the start screen and the same thing. The whole menu is stretched on won't fit on the screen. I checked the conf.ini and the resolution is a standard 1920x1200. I'm not sure what's going on. I tried several versions of Il2 and the same thing occurs. Any ideas?
Cloyd Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) Sounds like the oft encountered DPI scaling issue. If so, right click your startup icon, select Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, hit the "Change high DPI scaling" button, check box for "Override high DPI scaling behavior", select "Scaling performed by:" Application Edited January 23, 2023 by Cloyd Forgot a step

Now I'm only running at 30FPS for some reason. My system specs are good with an I9-12900K, RTX3090 and 128GB ram. Is it possibly an Nvidia control panel thing? Windows 11 has me all messed up!
Cloyd Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Don't know nuthin' about Win 11. I'd post a log at SAS1946.com if I were you. Many knowledgeable people there. 30 FPS is ridiculous with your system specs. Even my 8 year old system gets twice that. Good luck! 1
