It is a bit hard to see in the video but after the very first attack there is actually 3 vapour trails. The larger two are fuel (as I recall) and the thinner longer one is coolant (as I recall). After the second attack there is another very thin small trail just near the rear of the engine. The attack that starts a fire initiates the fire in the wing and this has a greyish white smoke trail. A second fire then starts in the engine with a black trail. The engine fire goes out fairly quickly while the wing fire develops and leads to the crew bailing and the aircraft crashing. Things can be tweaked a bit in terms of length etc as time permits but I don't believe anything has changed that I can access. Doesn't mean that something under the covers wasn't tweaked by the devs of course in the actual effects engine. ie My parameters may not have changed but there may be slight changes in how these are portrayed in game. Mysticpuma Posted November 23 Author Posted November 23 (edited) Hi @Stonehouse Looks like it must have been a 'Mandela effect', as looking at the track, I also get the same results as you. However, what intrigued me was if you run the track and speed it up, there is a weird but useful effect, whereby the trail reduces in width but extends much further which looks way better! The fire effect does the same, if it was slightly thinner it would be perfect! Any idea why when sped up the effects extend much further (and IMHO) look much better? I can only guess the time dilation does weird things to the effects timing. I'll try to have a poke around into the length and width side of things as I have time and see what can be done.

I look forward to hearing from you and your investigations... probably on the new forums.,.. hopefully
