Me410: meaning of the "buzzing sound"?

Recommended Posts

Hi All, just flew my first Me410 fighter bomber mission.

In general everything worked well, great plane!

Only one question: sometimes there is a "buzzing sound" for ca.10 seconds, what does that mean? A stall warning maybe? (I did not stall, but maybe angle of attack was a bit high.)

The pie is ready, check the oven quick!

Actually sounds like it's your contact altimeter.

Thanks,

Maybe, but as far as I can remember I was not flying low. I will observe this next time.

Doesn't have to be low, it'll buzz if you reach the altitude set (you can adjust this - look for any key bindings that mention "contact altimeter").

Yep. It's the contact altimeter. It helps with dive bombing.  You setup the buzzer for the release altitude, so you know when to drop.

In a dive, it starts 250m over the set target altitute and stops exactly at the set altitude to be precise. I think contact altimeter is set to 1000m by default, if not mistaken
