Has anyone here run into blackscreen issues when downscaling to 1080p?

hey does anyone here play on 2k monitor but  has the game set to 1080p? im having this issue were the game wouldnt load after launching it just a black screen.. But when i switch back to windows mode, the game launches normally.. (basically i have a 32inch, trying to play on 1920x1080 but game wont start when i have fullscreen set on)
