Bussard_x Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Still on the 1CGS forum, but what is the official site/forum since new ownership of IL-2 CoD/DW?

Waiting for an answer from a more legitimate authority... my guessings go to this : IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 --> https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/ IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover --> https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/ IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles --> https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/
Mysticpuma Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Hard to say. This is where officially all update news should happen but ATAG is now owned by TFS so maybe that's their official site?
343KKT_Kintaro Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 (edited) I may be wrong but ATAG (both the web site and the forum) belongs to TFS and acts as official website and forum... for TFS, not for any of the "IL-2 Sturmovik" games, not even "Cliffs of Dover" (I think). On the other hand, the present forum was created in 2012-2013 after agreements between 1C and Jason Williams (I think Jason was supposed to fund and develop the forum), so this forum here is some kind of an official forum for "Battle of Stalingrad" ("Great Battles", "Flying Circus", "Tank Crew"...), more than an official forum for "1946" or "Cliffs of Dover". Again, my guessings on my first post on the thread are an argument based on the fact that the games are named with the label "IL-2 Sturmovik" and, logically, the "official" forum should be a subdomain of the il2sturmovik.com domain (look at the URL on your browser, the word "forum" in "forum.il2sturmovik.com" is the subdomain of the domain "il2sturmovik.com"). Anyway, no need to speculate, nor need neither to assume that there are "official forums": if you post on the "Cliffs of Dover" section in the ATAG forum, you'll obtain answers for sure. Same thing here. There might not be "official" forums for the IL-2 games. Edited January 20, 2023 by 343KKT_Kintaro "your brower" --> "your browser" 1
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted January 25, 2023 Team Fusion Posted January 25, 2023 We are a guest on this forum... as we have always been... it was originally created for the GREAT BATTLES series. ATAG is the official TEAM FUSION forum.... eventually the will get new graphics and be re-named to TF forum and ATAG Squadron will have a separate section. 5 2 1

That is good news 1 forum instead of 2 that we currently have. TF forum to cover IL-2 CoDB/DW/?.

Well... all in all, for "Cliffs of Dover" we have cumulated at least four forums having been considered by some as "official": 1) The Ubisoft forum (the "Ubi zoo") because Ubisoft originally was the first distributor of the game in the European Union, the USA, and in other countries not being Russia. 2) The Russian 1C forum (the "Banana forum") because 1C was the official distributor in Russia. I think it had a section in English. 3) The 1C Entertainment forum (that's another "Banana forum" I think) because at some point 1C Entertainment started to be (and still is) involved with the game. That mentioned forum is, nowadays, the Fulqrum's forum, still existing I think, but almost nobody uses it. 4) The present forum, here where are now at il2sturmovik.com, created in fact for "IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad". I hope TFS will manage to create a forum that would be definitely admitted as the only official forum for "Cliffs of Dover". But maybe TFS needs to be granted permission for that.
Dagwoodyt Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Is TFS going to exit its' "guest" presence?
