PS  is all the rest of that RoF history just gone?  If so, I share your sense of loss.  It was nice visiting the RoF forum from time to time for nostalgia and reference.  Visited there just a week or so ago looking up some community historical reference/documentation.

No - the RoF Forums will be retained in read-only fashion for some time, so all that history should not be lost to us.  I will be bringing some of the most relevant links/info over here to make it easier for folks to find things from here, but I won't be trying to duplicate the entire RoF Forum here.

This is good news. 

I often find the RoF forum is excellent for topics I want to research. Including, of course, the development history for some of our models.

Yeah - glad to see some of the old guard are still around.  It has been pretty quiet over on the RoF forums for a while, but there are still some newbies showing up every once in a while, especially when they run the periodic sales, and there's still a lot of great info and material in the old forums so I was really glad to hear the Devs say they would keep it around in read-only fashion so all those goodies would remain available.  

 

I've been sort of inactively lurking around over here for a couple of years while taking care of some stuff IRL and waiting for my new VR rig to get set up and for the various issues with FC (e.g., DM/wings falling off) to get sorted and FC2 career mode to be finally released.  But I must say that I've been enjoying the heck out of the test QMB missions I've been flying in FC lately while tweaking my VR setup and trying out my new personal squadron skins - the DM/wings issue seems to be resolved and results seem very believable at this point, and flying these old crates in VR is just as awesome as I was hoping it would be.  Really looking forward to the progress we're going to see with Flying Circus during the next few months.

Yes! The devs were extremely receptive to our data collection for the DM issues, and they turned out a revision in 2 weeks! Kudos to them and the new community management team who were the catalysts for the change. 

Do you have any of the community Discord servers? If not, you should really check them out. I'm sure those of us who you've approved a few dozen skins for would be glad to fly on your wing.
