Heidemann leads a flight of 4 Halberstadt DII fighters escorting Roland CII 2 seaters. Wonder how Nieuports will fly in FC?

Flying Circus is has better graphics in some aspects, but to me RoF graphics look more subtle. Customs skins by juan1932, most work well in FC. AI and damage mods by vonS.

Nice vids - as always.

Can you describe your video production process?

What program do you use?
How do you edit?

How much HD space do you use?

Thanks.

Sorry I didn't see this post. Parts of missions are recorded while flying using in game video recorder. Then that is replayed and recorded with Windows game bar. Views are changed from cockpit to other views at that time. Lastly final edit with Windows video editor.

Jasta 12 PWCG mission. 4 Eindekkers battling DH-2's and Nieuports.  The lower the altitude got the enemy plane couldn't manoeuvre so well, but easier to fly into the ground. Ran out of bullets.

Bloody April 5 The RFC planes which are often manned by poorly trained crew are being shot from the sky. This situation is compounded by the use of some obsolete planes.

Hans Handel-Heineken eager to show off the view from inside his E.III on a bright winter's day near Golancourt. It looks like he's overexposed the sky.

I'm experimenting with various techniques to imitate the slow films and rudimentary pocket cameras of the period, before moving onto racy airborne shots.

Jasta 11 Bloody April mission 6. AI and damage mods by vonS. Albatros skins by gooseh. Mission created by PWCG. You have to fly and shoot a lot better with vonS mods, there are no easy kills as in Flying Circus.

Quick comparative pics. of latest AI mods. vers. 1.37 and 1.41, while they were being tested.

Follow-me (alt+4) command gives very tight following with ver. 1.37.

ROF2024-02-0622-01-11.thumb.jpg.6d8eef6e279abf7d3990e5b17afb7742.jpg

Follow-me (alt+4) command gives a more spread out (but still respectable) following with ver. 1.41.

ROF2024-02-0622-51-12.thumb.jpg.799ac537711de498ab41b40e6bc58308.jpg

Similar results per mod. version noticed with the follow waypoint (alt+3) command too. Have also attempted to increase safe alts. for dogfights slightly, in ver. 1.41, to minimize unnecessary crashes, etc. More info. available under the relevant CombatAce post/thread.

Cheers all,

?

Looks good vonS. Your mods make a lot of difference to RoF especially the damage mod. Have to give them ago when ready.

I've started replaying RoF using your Mods. Thanks for your work.

I don't think the ROFCampaignSpecific file I'm using in September 1916 is making the date skip as it should. Is there anything else I need to do other than to place it in the file with the campaigning character replacing the existing one?

The RoFCampaignSpecific file of choice should always be installed into \Rise of Flight\RoFCampaign\campaigns\YourPilotsName, overriding any generic RoFCampaignSpecific file (should there be a generic file there; in that case simply choose the option to "replace").

I've implemented the following mission spacing values in most (all) of the RoFCampaignSpecific files, for good variety and random spacing:

MissionSpacing01MaxAdditional = 14;
MissionSpacing02MaxAdditional = 12;
MissionSpacing02Min = 3;
MissionSpacing03MaxAdditional = 9;
MissionSpacing04MaxAdditional = 7;
MissionSpacing04Min = 2;
MissionSpacing05MaxAdditional = 5;
MissionSpacing05Min = 2;
MissionSpacing06MaxAdditional = 5;
MissionSpacing06Min = 2;
MissionSpacing09MaxAdditional = 4;
MissionSpacing10MaxAdditional = 5;
MissionSpacing10Min = 2;
MissionSpacing11Min = 2;
MissionSpacing12MaxAdditional = 12;
MissionSpacing12Min = 3;

Double-check perhaps to make sure that those values are there (best is to open the CampaignSpecific file with a simple text-editing program like NotePad). If all looks well and the dates are still not skipping over properly, best is to replace the CampaignSpecific file with a fresh one - in case some strange file corruption emerged somewhere in the meantime.

NOTE: the RoFCampaignSpecific files have only been tested in ver. 16.x.x of the PWCG; no idea if they work properly in the newer (beta) ver. 3.x.x of the PWCG. Also, if there are any oddities with default files in a PWCG install on one's rig, best is to re-install the PWCG first - I doubt that tinkering with the supplied CampaignSpecific files can fix default settings errors/corruption that might emerge in the PWCG.

Cheers,

?

I've done all that. I even went in and manually changed the dates in Pat's file in the setup. The problem is Pat's own file doesn't seem to work. I'm stumped.

What I've been doing is manually taking leaves as the extra days add up.

VonS,

Thanks! I reinstalled PWRoF 3.3.2 and the spacing now works.
