Invisible players at some angles

Hello,

Last time I played IL2 was when 1946 came out, that's a ong time ago. Now I'm trying IL2 BoS in VR but I started having some invisibility bugs today. It was ok yesterday but it started today or at least I noticed it today while I was playing Online on the Finnish server.

1- Allied aircraft pilots disapeared this morning. When preparing to take off, I used to see friendly pilots but now I see empty planes.
2- An hour ago, I was playing as a Tank, I heard a tank parking right next to me but he was invisible. I tried to get out and in the hatch but I could not see him. He then moved forward and as son as I was a littl behind him, I could see him. Then when I passed in front of him, he vanished again.

3- After the Tank play, I picked an aircraft and tried to find and bomb enemy tanks. I saw some friendly aircrafts in the distance and bellow me attacking something in the fields. When I flew at some angle over, the enemy tank appeared. There was no way I could see a tank in the fields otherwise.

I seen that this bug has been plaging this game for years now.

I don't know if a solution exist but here are my settings just in case:

- Graphics set at max almost everywhere

- Runnings in VR with a Quest 2 @ 120hrz sec and max resolution

- Running on an ASUS ROG Strix 1080ti OC  +  32 Gb of Ram

Thanks in advance.

Cheers !!

Sadly this is a long-running bug: if you bind any of the pilot head movement controls then the game uses the direction the camera would look at if it was affected by them to figure out what to cull as an optimization instead of the VR pose. Add to that the tank view controls and you get this result. There ample mention of this in:

Awesome, thank you. I knew this was a long-running bug like you said because I saw a few topics here and there but I thought maybe there has been a solution for that since then and I probably missed it.

Thanks for the help !!!

Well the only "solution" is not to bind any of the pilot head movement controls. Maybe with the new control profiles one can opt to do it selectively where needed.
