Whisky-Walker Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Can anyone assist me in setting the paddle axis up for braking like in the Spitfire? When I try to map the axis, the sim only detects the button press signal.
cardboard_killer Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 The Spitfire only has an on/off break lever. Left and right breaking is done by holding the lever and using the rudder peddles.

It operates very similarly anyway.

FTC_Tazz Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 I got this to work by going into the Virpil software and deleting the logical button assigned to the physical button (in this case, the lever). It will still show a physical button press when you pull the lever but there will not be a logical button. This way Windows and Il-2 will only register the axis. 1
Sokol1 Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Or can leave assigned the button, then close the game go to game data/input folder and edit the Global (Global.Action) file, replace the button number by the axis name. Will have this rpc_wheel_brakes, joy#_B## 0| // 0| // Wheel brakes Replace by rpc_wheel_brakes, joy*_axis_*, 0| // 0| // Wheel brakes # ## joy number and button number dependes on your hardware * * joy number and axis name depends on your hardware
