Varibraun Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 (edited) Below was his last post in the forums on 8/5/22 and his profile reflects he was last active on 8/23/22. Therefore, I am assuming we lost one who I consider an Icon in this community (I would love to be wrong). As the new year begins, I just want to say that I really miss Pierre's positivity, grace and wit in these threads and wish that our paths had crossed in person. S! Pierre! What flight Sim just keeps on giving? Once again I be mucho impressed with our dedicated crew and their mascot, one impressive Jason, the jewel in the crown. BoN is the reason I passed on the 6 months to live 23 months ago. Vive la Revolution and all who sail in her. Update/Edit: It has been confirmed to me by a very respected member of our community that PilotPierre passed away on 8/31/22. I would say to anyone wanting a dose of positivity, humor and courage to the end to check his profile and post history from time to time. Edited January 15, 2023 by Varibraun 5 3 31 1
Rjel Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 He did have a quirky sense of humor. Seemed like a very likable guy. Hope he's just offline but considering what he shared it seems unlikely. 2
BMA_FlyingShark Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 I hope all is well with Pierre. Have a nice day. ~S~ 1

It'd have been a cruel twist of fate for him to die literally a week before the release of BoN that he was looking forward to so much. He indeed seemed like a likable guy.
Jaws2002 Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 He was a good guy. Hope he's still around and comes back to laugh at us. The reality is that, for obvious reasons, starting with the second half of 2021, we had the highest increase in mortality in the recent history. Hope he's just busy and comes back to try the IAR-80. 1 2
LuftManu Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Damm, I remember his posts. He was really eager for Battle of Normandy! I hope he is just too busy playing it.

Chief_Mouser Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Always liked his posts with his play on words. If he's gone he's greatly missed. If still here, then I hope he's doing ok.
Mysticpuma Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Just to check, is it confirmed he has passed away?

Wardog5711 Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 I didn't know the man, as he left before I arrived. But the way you all speak of him, I can see that I truly missed out on something. My condolences to all that knew him, and considered him a friend. ☹️ 4 7

LeLv30_Redwing- Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 (edited) Rest in peace, fellow aviator. IIRC Jason was aware of his situation, maybe he had a chance of flying on Normandy before the official release, he was really waiting for the map. Edited January 15, 2023 by LeLv30_Redwing 1
