Heckpupper Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 I just noticed that some of the posts made by Jason Williams have been removed or hidden and that his account has regular user status now. I kinda get that latter part but removing his posts from the forums seems kinda disrespectful or maybe rude too me. What do you think? The man is clearly still very passionate about the community, likes hanging around here and cares about the product that he devoted so many years of his life to, I feel like removing him from the forums like that is wrong. Please don't take it the wrong way, I'm sure that the mods have their reasons for it but a little clarification would be nice. Thanks. 1 2
Gambit21 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Jason had already acknowledged that these (and I think you mean threads, not posts) will be removed. He's no longer associated with the team...nothing to see here. 1

dbuile Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Posts saying users should contact him for such-and-such official item is confusing or misleading since he no longer holds that role for the company. I agree they should be amended/edited/removed wherever it makes sense.
Wardog5711 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 At the instructions of the management team, some announcement threads were updated, and the older ones removed. Individual content posts are not being touched. They will be treated just like any other thread or post and subject to the same rules. 1

SqueakyS Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 I'm so happy that the stickied threads have been cleared up. They were taking up half the first page at one point.
Wardog5711 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Quote Ohhhh, I see: "Don't blame me, blame the lieutenant!" ? Yep, I just work here. I don't own any part of the operation and I don't make the policies. ? But you can expect more clean-up as things move along. And with that, we shall bring this topic to a close. 2 1 1
