Tanks in my platoon disappear when my aiming reticule isn't on them

I've noticed this weird phenomenon where tanks from my platoon will disappear from my view if I'm in the commander's seat, on the machine gun (Sherman), and I aim the reticule away from them. I'm in VR, so my aiming reticule can be facing forward, but if I glance to the left or right, my platoon is missing. They will reappear if I aim the machine gun at them, or disengage from my machine gun.

Everyone has the same thing. Its a bug of some kind

Good to know. I'm glad I finally figured out what was causing them to blink out of existence. It was driving me a little crazy!

This has been an issue as long as tank crew has existed and will likely never be fixed.  The devs have completely ignored it and refuse to acknowledge there is even an issue.  You can find comments on it from me 3+ years ago...  I gave up on tank crew, as I wanted to play it in VR with friends, and this totally kills it.

The fact that its 2023 and this is still an issue is abhorrent. How is this still an issue? There have been a good handful of forum posts about this with ONE reply from a tester with some bull answer of its for "optimalisation" in 2021  

And another post from 2020 on a Dev Diary where this wasn't even mentioned 

Seems most people aren't playing tanks in VR or if they are, when searching the forums, they see two times its brought up with no Dev replies and figure its a waste of air and time. An honest to God dev reply that isn't just fluff to disguise either incompetence or laziness would actually be very much appreciated. For VR, there is literally no real competition for decently done VR tanks in a combined role kinda thing with other people in aircraft... let alone multi crew tanks.. But three years of no acknowledging that you have a problem with tanks in VR is a slap in the face to the community... more so to people like me, with founders badge and ownership of every expansion you've released for this game to date.

Yes, and also everything else is absurd that you can not enter any "country or city" because you miss the rest of the tanks, and then at least the AI artificiele you could improve it that is essential to keep alive this game that someone already a year ago told me that there was no one of the team of il2, it's true!! I for my part I hope in tank squad because in the long run this tank crew, if it were not for the campaigns "fantastic" that has made Mr. Tiger would have already bored me because let's face it, it does not go on if it were not for you who make the mods skins and missions and various campaigns. tiger would have already bored me because let's face it, ... does not go on if it were not for you who make the mods and skins and missions and various campaigns the team has washed his hands and does not even know if we exist!!! thank you very much, it could have been really the n1 this simulator and instead it is fundamentally a disappointment, let's wait for TANK SQUAD and also that of the sherman shouldn't be bad, we'll see! however I still hope that those of the team will rethink about tank death crew, at least improve the AI of the game which would already be an improvement not to be underestimated, well, you did it!!
