Congratulations Entente, winning by points (scoring in excess of minimum point requirement and exceeding opponent score by 20% or more)!

I saw several fights of 10-15 planes fighting 10-15 planes all in close proximity. Most other fights were 5-10 vs 5-10. That massive fight for the Northern recon was impressive! I saw two giant clusters of planes collide and start swarming around each other, looping and swirling as the fight started downward. I even could see a few planes falling out of the sky as they were shot down, while others continued to circle and shoot.

Last Sunday was a ton of fun! The 1917 planeset presents its own challenges when flying Central, but it is also a nice change of pace. (And with FC3+ in negotiation, just imagine how much more fun a 1916-17 planeset would be in the future! ?

Thank you to the fine gentlemen from Jasta 5 for letting me tag along with them yesterday. It's always a pleasure to fly with you all! ?

Had a blast flying yesterday with my awesome squadmates in J5 (and certain Allied defectors)! Still trying to feel out the Pfalz D.XII's limits, but it makes things easy when you get to fly with the sort of wingmen I was privileged to have yesterday.

Sorry we were unable to get the updated map up as advertised.  Sizzlor and I spent our time looking into it.

Lots of great stuff in today's stream from yesterday's action on Flugpark! Had a few early fights with No.76 Sqn, where they demonstrated excellent wingman flying, clearing each other's sixes. I got to give impromptu demonstrations on how to successfully recover the Pfalz D.XII from a spin and how to successfully land the D.XII at an airfield...with the elevator controls shot out. (Kinda proud of that one, ngl!) Later we encountered some tenacious IRFC Dolphins and I got to finish out my time flying with temporary defectors =IRFC=Artun and =IRFC=Flex. Also, I'd like to give a shout-out to J5_Nialloh for making Ace in a day yesterday. Well done that man! ?

It was a close-run mission today. Entente managed to finish things off with a flight of 3x Handley Pages, but apparently there were several Central 2-seaters nearly at the final objective for them, too. I tried a bombing run with a DH-4 and a Baguette flying together: he dropped with me and together we managed to smash the ammo dump! The recon flights were also pretty hectic. Pretty good fights, all around. Edit: The recon flight had some 15 Entente planes flying high over the top of an airfield to take pictures while 11 or so Central interceptors climbed up to stop them. That wasn't even the full number of players on the server, that was just the guys that got into the fighting there. The experience watching numerous fights in and out of the towering clouds, trying to track the recon, friendly escorts, and incoming Fokkers was pretty incredible! I don't think screenshots or videos can do it justice, you had to be there.

Yesterday's flying saw action high up in the nosebleeds as both sides ran recons and also action down in the weeds during bomber runs. I got to experience both! Flying with some excellent wingmen in Pfalz D.XIIs and seeing a recon through was an excellent feeling. (Some clutch work by J5_Matthias, getting the recon done despite strong enemy presence. Way to go, man!)

After that, switching to Halberstadts and seeing J5_Bauemer knock out targets on the deck was super cool too. (And of course, the dogfight with the Camels and Se5as who intercepted us directly following this was pure adrenaline. Salute to all involved!)

And I would be remiss without mentioning the great job the Entente forces did as well, completing their recons with compunction. All around excellent effort!

Ultimately, a great time flying with a great group of guys! I'll see you next Sunday! ?

While I missed out on the usual Sunday action due to RL, I was able to get a quick sortie in on Flugpark later that evening. Even during off-peak times, Flugpark is still fun! Had a few scraps against a competent Camel pilot, our last battle ending in a well-fought draw. Salute Sir! ? https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1801984951

After some time off, I was able to get back in the cockpit again yesterday afternoon. Had a great time flying with my J5 squadmates and later the US23 boys. It was definitely a target-rich environment, with several bandits giving me a run for my money. I ended up making two hair-raising returns-to-base in one day: once with 0 liters of fuel left in my Albatros and another 15 minute glide home with a damaged SS D.IV engine - which conveniently quit cold right above the aerodrome. ?

All in all, I'm glad to be back! See you gents in the skies next Sunday!

S Hotlead!

I was the Bristol you played cat and mouse with in the clouds.  I'm not good enough to do a 1 v 2 in a Bristol so when i saw you both in the first contact i climbed into the cloud and luckily got away.  I stooged around a bit in the cloud extending south gaining height contemplating my next move.

I went looking for you again and eventually saw you via the AAA. I figured you were baiting me and saw your wingman but figured I could get one pass on you and then dive into the cloud.  Got some hits on you and only just managed to make the cloud though.  Your wingman got a good burst as i entered the murk and damaged my engine hence why i slunk away like a scare-dy cat afterwards.

Very cool to see this fight from your perspective.  I realised i was being hunted after the first contact and luckily clouds were my friend during this sortie.  Clear weather and I dont think I would have been so lucky.

Very nice job on the deadstick landing.

PS I do do my own rear seat gunnery hence why i didnt let your buddy in my rear seat.  Not saying he would have but Ive had people jump in and then shoot my tail off as well. Not fun falling from 10K with a missing tail.....

Till next time S

Ezzie

S! Ezzie!

You acquitted yourself very well indeed and kept your head the whole time. You took a good shot at me when I was a little separated from my wingman and used the cloud well to escape afterwards. All in all, a great game of cat and mouse after which all parties returned home to toast a worthy foe. Until we meet again! ??

And that makes total sense about the gunning. I typically lock my seat for the exact same reasons when I fly two seaters.

Last Sunday J5 saw constant action in the 1917 map. Daring Entente incursions, full-on furballs at 4 kilometers above terra firma, and me trying to tame the tempermental Dr 1 took center stage throughout the afternoon. The fights were pure exhilaration and the comradeship of both friend and foe is what keeps me coming back for more.

Until next time! S! ?

Got to experience a bit of everything last Sunday! Low alt attacks on ground emplacements, high alt recons, tense furballs, prolonged stalking cat and mouse games, even a gutsy Handley Page wheeling around like an enraged elephant, daring anyone to come near. Truly got to experience it all!

I may or may not be online next Sunday due to real life, but I certainly look forward to getting back into the action as soon as I can! And if you haven't gotten in on the action yet, may I politely ask... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? Dive on in! The water's great. ?

Another action-packed day last Sunday on the Flugpark! I had the opportunity to share the skies with J5_Wolff, J5_Klugermann, CanvasKnight, No.23_Farmer, No.23_Gaylion, and No.23_Triggers. We were in action constantly, and I managed to get my first aerial victory in the SS D.IV on Flugpark. ? Meanwhile, J5_Daedallus ran operations with his flight, also facing stiff opposition. Truly, anywhere you looked, you could find action.

I might not be able to fly this coming Sunday, as we've got an airshow happening then, but I eagerly look forward to strapping back into the cockpit as soon as I can!

Last Sunday had some connectivity issues, but I still was able to get some fun flights in with my squadmates. J5_Josef Tabone lead us on a factory bombing mission and we managed to get bombs on one of the targets and were heading home before the server decided to boot me. That being said, it looks like the server is stable again (thanks for troubleshooting this Matthias and Baeumer!), so things should be back to normal again, fingers crossed. ??

During the second half of my stream, I got to test-drive the new Halberstadt D.II, both in single and multiplayer against No.10 Sopwithman. Some pretty awesome fights! Salute, Sir! ? Have to say, I love how "floaty" the new crate is.

Hi Folks,

There is probably nothing that can be done, but I just wanted to report that when I have flown on the server lately I keep getting disconnected and I don't know why.  Perhaps it is happening to others too.  I am not getting disconnected like this from other servers I fly on MP, so thought I would report my disconnections here.  Many thanks for a most enjoyable server.

Happy landings,

Talisman

Last Sunday, I got on a bit late, but there was still a ton of action to be had. This stream has it all, from J5_Daedallus serving as ringmaster to our circus, Farmer and Talbot demonstrating flawless bounces, and Sizzlorr daring Camels to fight him on the level in a D.VIIF. Oh, and a near death experience at our own aerodrome, where I nearly managed to end Farmer's streak. ??

Of course, our brave comrades on the other side of the lines managed to get their licks in as well, with =IRFC=Nialloh having an especially heroic several scraps with us.

For some reason, Twitch broke my livestream into two parts, so you can find them here, in order:

Flugpark had a near-perfect experience this week, with rock-solid connection and hardly any disconnects that I noticed. Thank you to Baeumer and Matthias for continuing to work on this, and thank you for everyone who showed up to fuel the fun yesterday! Looking forward to sharing the skies with you again next Sunday! ?

Last Sunday I wasn't on as long, but it was still a lot of fun! I got some more stick time in the Dr 1, flew with some awesome wingmen, and got the luckiest long range shot off I've had to date.

I won't be online next Sunday and with the NFL season starting soon, my flight time will be shorter, but I still look forward to sharing the skies with you all whenever I can!
