ThunderBat Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 I have no idea what I'm changing that removes the ability to manipulate the time scale, but sometimes it works when testing my current mission, and sometimes it won't. I can't reproduce it, so what's going on?
Jaegermeister Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 You can always multiply the time scale to various multiples with key commands. There is no way to deactivate that feature except deleting the key commands from your controller list. Whether it actually runs the game at 2x, 4x, or 8x speed depends on the number of objects rendered in your mission. If you have only the player plane or vehicle, it will run as fast as your computer can process the mission. The more linked entity objects you place in the mission and have active, the more it slows down to the point where it will run at 1x all the time, if that.
Gambit21 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 If there’s a media translator MCU that has been activated (and not stopped) time accel will not work.

I would add as a complementary information when you do use media translators be sure to have always a clear start and a Stop. The media translator can remain active in the background even if you do not see or hear anything. The media translator action may be finished but the media translator remains open. If you use multiple media translators like one for image, one for sound or even multiple etc. be careful not to end up with some remaining open ended.
