coyote137 Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Having just got back into il2 since first version years ago, I Have purchased all Great battle packages and really enjoying in vr, Is there a way to switch off or silence the default radio chat that comes up on the left panels in quick battles? thank you
=FEW=fernando11 Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 You can lower the radio volume back to 0, cant remember the keymaping, but you should be able to find it on the settings menu
[CPT]Crunch Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Rename or delete the radio file in data/audio/. The volume control doesn't always work for in game radios in QMB, and you'll have to turn it down every time you start a new session. 2
Jaegermeister Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 If you mean the greyed out subtitles of radio messages, you can turn some of them off in settings You can uncheck Players messages and Show kill messages. To get rid of the rest of them, you will have to turn off the HUD with a key binding

To add to this helpful post, you'll have to do this every time there's a game update.
DD_Friar Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Its Left-Alt + NumPad Minus to drop the radio volume. But again you will need to do it each mission you start.

Does this mean rename the folder .....data/Audio/radio to something like "data/audio/#radio" or do you need to go inside and rename all the files inside each sub folder ?

Yes, I just rename the "radio" folder "-radio". It will stay that way until there is a game update.
