lwalter Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Just got a Quest 2. After installing Oculus App on my PC and linking my Quest 2 to the PC via an Oculus Link cable, I had nothing to do but launch IL2 GB in VR and enjoy it with my ULTRA settings. Everything was as smooth as when I played in 4K. Kudos to the developers for making such a VR friendly simulator! I'm pretty sure many have already said the same here in these forums, but flying IL2 GB in VR is a huge change, because you really feel inside the plane. Heights and distances feel all natural. Many times, I just wanted to touch the switches all around in the cockpit, so real they felt. I was also surprised how easier it was to aim and shoot at other planes, compared to flat screen. I was also surprised to get the same feelings of (motion?) sickness I get when I'm in rollercoasters, when I was flying some "high"-G maneuvers. 1
