In Game Map Mods?

Forgive me if there is another place to post this, but is there any way to modify the in-game map. It is rather big and ugly and it would be nice to remove the leather border and make it less opaque. Currently you can only reduce it's footprint by moving most of it off screen and then zoom in the part you want to see. At least BoX version has a couple options to how big you want it to be. Perhaps this has been discussed in the past but I can't find any reference to it.

some features of the in-game map can be modified by the developers only.

 

You can change the map size though. Simply place a mouse cursor over the map edge, click and drag the edge. The game will remember the new map size.

 

I personally like the in-game map in Cliffs of Dover more than the BoX map. You can customize what should be displayed on the map (right-click inside the map and select desired options in the map menu), there are even some simple navigation tools here (the Tools option in the map menu). I think the BoX map doesn't have any of these features.
