I am confused as to which confUser that JoystickWizard is updating and which one the game is using. Please enlighten.

So the game and JoystickWizard are both in

D?Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz

 

I ran JoystickWizard and it did not update the confUser.ini in that folder.  

I think it updated the one here:

C:\Users\Rod\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover

Regardless, when I bring up the game again and look at the key bindings it appears that nothing has been changed.  Weird.

Yes, I know you have all gotten a head ache in explaining all that.

 

So when I do run the game what confUser is being used?  Can I get rid of one of them?

Hi Uriah,

 

the game uses configuration files located in Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover.

You should not delete any files in the game Steam folder.

As for the problem with Joystick Wizard having no effect in the game, check if you have Steam Cloud enabled for this game. If yes, disable it.
