"Null / null" when trying to alter key mapping

Hi all, Merry Christmas.

When ever I try to alter the key binding the option auto fills with "null / null" before I can enter a command. The input folder appears to be allowing writing as if I delete it it is recreated on the next game boot and when I create a new profile this appears in the custom folder but I still can't alter the actual key bindings. I have had this issue before and fixed it but can't remember how...... Any help greatly appreciated. Something to do with clearing a cache?

problem resolved: 

 

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\input\devices.txt"

delete devices.txt file (back up first) and restart. Issue resolved.

Resolved Finally. See here for the resolution

I get this issue if I try adjusting setting while in VR. I tried using a different slot on the GPU but that made no difference. The solution I am currently using is to make such adjustments in flat screen mode. A short term solution I hope. This issue appears to not be Aero specific.

Just upgraded from a G2 to the Aero, did not have this issue with the G2v2...

Also have this problem, just upgraded to Aero from G2. Didn't have this problem before.
DCS World works ok but not IL-2.

Untick the attributes of your Data/Input folder (and all sub-folders) for "Read-Only" off and try it.. Did it a couple times, now it seems to work even if it's ticked on for some reason...

Didn't work. Problem solved as per the post in VR section.
