Sadly, killed by friendly fire Christmas Day, 1944.

A legendary pilot gone too soon, such is the unmerciful nature of war.

A very old video made in Warbirds combat sim! But this video introduced me to the legend of this great pilot. Way back when the band 3 Doors Down was popular lol.

Major Preddy's final victory was a Bf 109G of JG 27 flown by Feldwebel Fritz Koal, who ended the war with six confirmed aerial victories. Fritz was a good friend of mine, living a few streets apart in my home town. Born on 24 December 1923 (Preddy shot him down one day after his 21st birthday), he ended his active flying career on 20 December 2003 and died on 1 September 2017.
