5800x3D uphrade reviews please for VR

Hi guys, 

 

  Just looking for reviews on upgrades to the 5800x3D for VR and what your performance gains if any you may have had. More the frame times / 1%-0.1% lows etc.

hey, I upgraded my 5800x to 5800x3d, and got exactly 4fps minimal and average increase in my testing scenario - there will be some very good info also in results here under number 7.

Good to hear. Does it seem noticeably smoother? The improved minimals sounds very good along with the average. Any ideas on the frame times?

These were my results from upgrading to a 5800X3D:

 

Basically, really good improvement in CPU frame times and consistency. At this point with a 3080 TI, I am GPU limited. I expect it would match well with even a 4090 in VR performance.

Wow. That's some extensive benchmarking and appears to show exactly what I'm looking for though be it I'm running the Quest 2. Guessing similar results to the G2. Just need a way to limit FPS to 60 if I can rather than 72 which is the minimum set by the headset, this should stop the graphics card from effecting the frames. 

 

  I'll be ordering the 3D.... ??
