Hi All,

Hope everyone is safe and well.

Apologies for not getting out more information than we would like to of late. For many in the team real work and life commitments have hindered time on producing updates.

As we move to the end of yet another, and it must be said very quick 2022, here are new images from the teams work on the visual update and TrueSky.

Mind-blowing! Looks amazing on my 1920x1080 flat monitor, even when I zoom and reach 100% of the 4k res.

How close is it to a release? With all the footage we've gotten of VR missions being flown, and these screenshots, surely it must be nearly done.

Hi All,  Still some work to do.  We need to get this release right. We get it right, the community will love it. We rush a release with an incomplete product, the community may not come back.

yeh its starting to work really nice wish the tracks worked or i post a couple but there all jerky, the devs are doin a first rate job trust it'll be worth the wait  ?

this attitude is commendable.

For us "who are impatient" without VR, you can make some Beta slots?

Looks great! The lighting on the clouds in the 2nd image from the top appears to have a silver lining, which is nice.

Thank you to all that are able to share the updates and progress, much appreciated.

Any progress on the announcement (not release) of v6.00?

 

Maybe something to look forward to for Christmas Day or New Year's Day?

Yea, even to those that Bitch and Moan and Groan all along the way.

You've taken a higher road as of late MP , but some should have to wait longer just for their impatience, lack of faith and disrespectful attitude. I am hoping for the Update before 12/25/23. I feel totally confident that TFS will make this deadline and so I am leaving no room for a let down for myself. 2023 will be a good year for COLD/DWT!

Now, now Blade, don't come round here setting a deadline for them, that's just not the spirit of the forum! Next thing is someone will start calling you out for being impatient ?

I too agree with you, there has to be an update before next Christmas and hopefully by then v6.00 will have been announced. 

I guess my my sadness is the amount of potential players (especially VR) that the team are missing out on and we both know that the community aren't getting any younger and sadly interest (in the younger generations) for WW2 combat flight sims (not Warthunder) is drifting exponentially away. 

I really just hope the team have a great big media push, get interviews in PC Pilot and other game forums and hopefully generate an interest of fresh blood. 

 

The cockpit visuals in Clod stand up against all other current combat sims, the landscape is excellent (except very close up to grass textures) and with the clouds coming eventually, it really will have new opportunities to make an impact. 

 

I know we will find out at some point but it does intrigue me as to whether v6.00 will ever be released or just amalgamated into v5.00 and the team walk away. 

I do hope not but if 1C/Tencent /Fulcrum make things difficult for TFS, I wonder if there would be the passion to continue? 

 

Time will tell.
