Spitfire over Dunkirk , 92th Squadron campaign

Still digging in archives in anticipation  with  visual  update and  enjoying  early war planes.

This  is a 16 mission campaign for 92th  Squadrron  (Google  translated  all  credits to authors: RC_Bu-Bu and RC_Bublik.)

There is  a  sophisticated  working scoring script,  writing the mission and campaign statistics in the briefing.  You  have to  make  sure  the  Steam/Steamapps/common/IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz/parts/bob/mission/campaign folder and subfolders is not read only.

Campaign uses standard game skins.

Campaign briefing:

 

May 20, 1940 Guderian's Panzer Corps reached the English Channel near Abbeville. As a result of the 1 st French Army, British Expeditionary Force and the Belgian army were cut off from the main forces of the Allies, being pressed to the English Channel in the area of Dunkirk. Total surrounded turned 10 English, 18 French and 12 Belgian divisions.

May 21 the British attempted to counterattack in order to reunite with the main forces. However, the counter is not achieved almost nothing. First to counterattack has been allocated too few forces, and secondly by German dive bombers just paralyzed the action of infantry both English and French, who under the plan were to support an attack British tanks. An attempt to release the encircled troops from the south by the French army also did not bring any results. Other attempts have been undertaken, despite Churchill's address to the armies, where he urged the defense to drop thoughts on some lines and seize the initiative by "decisive and swift attacks."

Thus, from the British Expeditionary Force was only one way to salvation - the evacuation. And the Royal Air Force was necessary to ensure the protection of the evacuation on raids of German bombers.

Most missions in the campaign is done with the start of the air. The result of the mission will be displayed in postmission briefing

NB : do not pay attention  to the  "Battle  Failure"  title, read  the  text!

On  debrief image "задание выполнено!" means  task completed,  "задание не выполнено! is failure.
The campaign made RC_Bu-Bu and RC_Bublik.

You have to extract the content of the folder  into:

Steam/Steamapps/common/IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz/parts/bob/mission/campaign

and 

add (using  windows  notepad  or  download  notepad++) the text  below to your  campaigns.ini file  located in  :

Steam/Steamapps/common/IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz/parts/bob/mission/campaign

 

insert  the  following at  the  end of the [Main]  list  :

I tried installing this campaign as per instructions but it didn't show up in the campaign section.  I even tried using "resave all missions in folder" but no luck.  Any help out there?

I had difficulty as well.  I finally got it to work just by playing around with the order of the entries in my campaigns.ini folder.  The following worked for me:

I also added a file to my campaign folder in Documents/1CSoftClub/il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover/mission/campaign

The file is called campaign_dk.ini and contains the following:

Not sure if this was necessary but one of my other campaigns had this so I said sure, why not.  Since I have no understanding of how this works. lol

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but....

I can't get past the second mission.  Every time I try it my engine begins smoking and I lose power as soon as "Tally-ho" is called without any shots being fired.  Tried pulling away from the action and not engaging and it still happens.   Get a mission failure and cannot go any farther.
