Anyone have any info on the Snipe engine?  Historical or perhaps game plans.  Bentley Br1 or Br2?

I think production Snipes all had B.R. 2s.

Right there in one of the recent DDs: ?

The new 9-cylinder 230 HP rotative engine Bentley BR2 had 100 HP more than the Clerget 9B engine installed on the very successful Sopwith Camel - a huge increase.

It's done to get you excited and interested... and when you are hooked and looking forward to it, it's removed to dash any hopes you had against the wall...

Its just called conditioning... see, I bet you didn't know you were going through prisoner handling and interrogation.

The BR2 was an impressive feat of engineering for its time - almost 25 litres of displacement producing 230 - 245 hp, which was quite potent for a rotary at a time when it was becoming increasingly apparent that inline, v-type, and radial engines had more development potential.
