P-51D effectiveness

I'm working on my campaign editor and we just ran a mission this evening.

 

We really hammered the enemy with our P-51Ds and filled the enemy full of lead... or did we?

 

I'm not one for complaining but today's mission was really a pain. We were two fighters attacking a lonely Stuka hitting it again and again to no avail. We probably filled it with holes but it kept on flying. Eventually we ran out of ammo and double-rammed it instead which finally brought it down.

 

It would be great if you could model the incendiary rounds so we can keep flying the P-51D.

Was watching some gun camera footage last night. Ran across some from some P-40s shooting German transports. I couldn't believe how these planes were shredded.

They were literally having their wings torn off. And being able to see the tracers was amazing not to mention the explosiveness of the bullets when they hit their target. NOTHING like the sim, but that is neither here nor there, I'm sure the people in charge here, have seen such footage too.

I really believe they will never fully fix the american ammo to be API. The way I think and others think they look at it is that there is no money in it. They've already sold the P-51. But nobody who bought the game for the american planes got what they paid for. 

 

There other thing is, I see quite a few posts from various people constantly pushing for new content.  And they seem to want it now. There are only so many people working on the game development.  

 

Now to be fair, the update adjusting the ammo did make a noticeable improvement.  Was it enough? Not really in my opinion. But it is better.
