343KKT_Kintaro Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Flooding regions in Germany caused the death of 1,600 civilians, maybe a rate of civilian losses per mission higher than losses caused by conventional bombing. Let's not forget them neither. 2 5

Vishnu Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 War is horrific. Horrific things happen. There are no winners or losers. Only death and destruction.

Let's not forget them neither. ALL those who lost their lives in the raid ARE remembered. They are remembered at appropriate times, in appropriate places and in appropriate ways. All of which this thread, linking soley to the remembrance of a man’s whole life, isn’t. 1

I’m sorry Kintaro I strongly disagree. An appropriate time would be the anniversary of the raid not the occasion of the passing of one man who was involved as aircrew in it. An appropriate place, as far as this forum goes, would be a thread dedicated to the raid or its remembrance not a thread about an individual. An appropriate manner would be as a contribution to either of the above but not as a counterpoint conversation starter set against the spirit of the thread. 2
343KKT_Kintaro Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Ok, Boo, you disagree. There's not problem with you disagreeing with me just as, as I hope, there's no problem with me disagreeing with you.
