Niagara Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Is there a way to move the Kneeboard map to a (second monitor ) and enlarge it from present size , so it can be kept up without obstructing the view from the cockpit == IE for dead reckoning following land marks and such ??
Niagara Posted December 8, 2022 Author Posted December 8, 2022 (edited) Thanks Echo == looks interesting , will give a try , would still preferer to just be able to drag the Live in game map over to a second monitor ... but if that turns out to not be possible ? this will be the go to map , thanks again .. how do we get them to add the Normandy map ? Hook_Echo Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Oh yeah, I think that site doesn't get updated anymore. Here's the one that has Normandy. https://serverror.github.io/IL2-Mission-Planner/#normandy I don't know anything about moving the in game map or if it can be done. Good luck on that. I think there's large image files of the maps somewhere. You could have that open in another window. The nice thing about the flight planners is they will give you headings and eta. And since it won't keep you centered like the in game map you have to rely on your speed, clock, and bearings to navigate. It makes Normandy especially interesting when navigating the channel. Really the only way to make 15 minutes of over water flight engaging.
Niagara Posted December 8, 2022 Author Posted December 8, 2022 thanks , the new one seems better , now just gotta figure out how it works , just gonna take some fiddling around with it ..
Mtnbiker1998 Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Also an option for your phone, the IL-2 tactical map app on android (not sure if its also on ios) has a few other neat features like aircraft performance and waypoint editing. I'm a VR user so I don't use it for flying, but its nice to double check airfield/city names afterwards
