Zoom to target area?

Is there a way to quick advance to the mission or target areas?  Realism is OK, but flying  for an hour or so ain't a lot of fun for a combat sim. Is there something I can click on to get me to my mission area quick?  Thanks all   take care   Eddie.

If you are playing singleplayer, use the time advance buttons.

become the commander and edit the second waypoint to be closer to the destination area before starting the mission, oh don't forget to start from the air

That won't work for escort missions (editing waypoints).

But if you're the commander: let your deputy handle tedious escorts and cherry pick cool missions ^^
