Team Fusion ATAG_Snapper Posted December 4, 2022 Team Fusion Posted December 4, 2022 Gunfreak has embarked on an interesting project. He is playing the original Cliffs of Dover Battle of Britain campaign in Single Player Campaigns using the Work-In-Progress Virtual Reality Visual Update beta and recording from his VR gameplay in 1440p. I've noticed that he's employing some nifty editing techniques to compliment the raw video recording, as well as his sometimes hilarious and always entertaining commentary...along with some good info along the way. So strap in and SCRAMBLE, CHAPS!!!!! https://youtu.be/7leD2bvr-K8 3

Mysticpuma Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 So, I've watched the video and there are a couple of things I noticed, one good, one disappointing. On the positive (and I watched the video three times), the shadows on the vegetation (trees, hedgerows) do not appear to flicker anywhere near what they do in the current public version of the game. Currently when flying, the shadows really do detract from the landscape rendering as it looks completely unreal with them continually shimmering around the trees. The effect still appears to be there but noticeably subdued (unless a consequence of the video render?) The slightly disappointing part from the video is right at the end when the aircraft lands in the grass. I know to many it will seem irrelevant but the grass box square around the aircraft, rendered to about 20-feet square is disappointing because not only do we have aircraft available, we also have the ground units like tanks and vehicles to play with. The small grass render circle is another feature that throws the immersion off if you are tracking a vehicle on the deck and the grass is rendering in such a small area. Just a question, but will the graphics update allow users to increase the grass render bubble on the ground? Small issue but really irritating when viewed (as can be seen from the external final shot as the aircraft crashes). Thanks for the video, cheers, Mysticpuma 1

I've found that every forum has a different method of embedding videos - and this is by far the simplest! ? Well, the answer I got back was brief: "This is a known issue and is being addressed." So, I won't speculate on how it's being addressed, but this would be good for aircraft take-off scenarios as well. 2
