Deleted STEAM.....oops

How do I go about undoing the dastardly deed? Have reinstalled it, but to no avail. Do I need to delete the whole IL2 thing and reinstall it? God help me if I have to go there.........

You mean Steam itself? Just open Steam again (you said you already re-installed it). Click "Library" in the top bar, scroll to "IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad" in the left bar, right-click, and select "INSTALL".

Whoa there!!!!

 

I don’t have Steam so bear with me if I’m talking out of my backside. By doing this he’ll be reinstalling the game?

Shouldn’t he make a copy of at least his input file before going for a reinstall?

In my experience, when you delete Steam, you delete all Steam content on that computer. No choice but to re-install your games from your Steam library. If I am wrong, somebody please correct me.

Not to worry I figured it out!!!

Found my way to some file, and right clicked on everything labeled 'STEAM' then left clicked on "restore old settings or Undo delete..........it worked!!!

 

? kind proud of my self, but that brings up another question. Does this mean I can get "Cliffs of Dover"?

I saw STEAM, and deleted it because I didn't think I had it , 'cuz I bought all my stuff from here..........

Well any way, thanks for trying to help, I gonna go get shot down a few times.........
