Virpil CM3 - Has anyone found a good use for the T1 - T4 Toggle switches?

It's in the title really.

Not sure what these buttons are good for, it would be good if they could be used to Turn something On in one position and Off in the other but it seems that to do this you have to move the switch twice to turn on and twice more to turn off?

I use mine for mundane things like starting/stopping engine, auto-pilot, etc.

From back to front: Carb Air Filter (CloD only), WEP, Supercharger, Tail-wheel lock.

I've got them configured to send two button presses (one on, one inverse), and I bind both of these to the relevant command. You'll likely need to edit data\input\global.actions manually to configure this, since the game often chooses the wrong one in the key-mapping UI, but once configured it does mostly work in game.

I do find that Il-2 sometimes gets confused and winds up out of sync. In this case, I just open the map, flip the switch, and close the map, which will synchronize it with where the game thinks it is.

I've previously suggested adding on/off bindings for all of these, which would make this much easier, but for now this is the best we have.

This is happening because T1 to T4 toggle switches are  preprogrammed, by default in the Virpil software as "switches". You can change them to work as two button presses, like the hats are setup.

Check this guide.

Virpil software does a few things strange by default. In the default mode, the mode change only applies to the six buttons (B1 to B6) but you can configure the mode switch to change hats and axis.
