76SQN-Minimayhemtemp Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 Hey everyone! Been out of the game for a couple of months and came back this morning to start flying again; but am finding I can't get the game to go above 60 fps. I normally play in VR but am having the same in non-VR, and across a full range of graphical settings. I normally play with a mixture of extreme/high settings, and last time I played (I guess a couple of patches ago?) I was hitting 70+ without an issue. Now even with the lowest settings it's capping at 60 fps; in both VR and non-VR. Doesn't sound like much of a difference but at 60 fps I get stuttering effect when looking at the ground - although no dip in reported fps. When using the lowest settings my GPU utilization is around 20%, when in extreme settings it goes no higher than 60%. Previously it would sit at around 85-90%. Rig: i7-9700 @ 3.6GHz 3070ti 32gb ram Running game on SSD Latest drivers installed. Doing a fresh install of the game now to see if that helps, but does anyone have any tips or encountered this before?

[CPT]Crunch Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 NVIDIA control panel, Max Frame Rate OFF, if it's set on that, select manual you might notice it's starting point is locked at 58 FPS which is default. Sometimes it gets stuck there even when off, hence your stuck at 60. So set it manually to 100 FPS, giving a little overhead to throttle. While your at it set the monitor close to the same frames, you don't want to have your monitor ripping at twice the FPS as your HMD, and may as well set the background apps to 100 also, no need to have the game window running any faster than your HMD. Doing that can reduce stutter when the system loads heavily in intense activity, keeps the demand on your graphics processor closer to being in sync.
