chiliwili69 Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 https://www.realovirtual.com/noticias/12175/valve-index-rebajado-40-japon (in spanish). Does it mean they are going to reduce stocks? for future deckard???? 1
dburne Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 With Valve who knows. Surprised to see them finally cut the price. Coarse the actual headset is pretty dated now.
DBCOOPER011 Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Valve had a good run with the index, is it almost 4 years old now? I had mine for almost 3 years and only had to change the display port cable once. Very reliable and with good FOV, but I don't understand how they were getting $1,000 USD for so long when better resolution headsets were out for half the price..

I never paid that much to be fair cause I only bought the headset and not basestations (already had BS from original vive). Basestations are well worth it though cause not only do they provide excellent tracking but on the next upgrade you can just do what I did and only buy the headset. So VIVE kinda seems expensive but if you plan to remain loyal it evens out. And personally I think from the start valve had a very good/open attitude toward VR development. Probably going to stick with them myself!
