Knarley-Bob Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 (edited) Free hunt mission, P-51 D Bodenplatte. I got 3, last one, I clipped wings with a 190, it went down, figured I was toast. I lost an aileron........didn't die instantly, wow!! Was a looong way from base, was able to trim plane so it was controllable and spotted allied airfield not too far off. Managed to get there, with an AI wingman following, WOW. Went to final approach, no flaps......oh boy..... time for a go around. Double checked things, and at that time, decided putting the landing gear down might be a good idea. Just about ran out of runway, but was able to get her stopped and taxi to the barracks. Don't know if anyone is here, but a warm fire will feel good while I wait for my ride..? KB Edited November 23, 2022 by Knarley-Bob 2
