Strewth Posted November 19, 2022 Posted November 19, 2022 (edited) I was hoping someone may be able to assist. I have recently upgraded from a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro to a Logitech X-56 HOTAS. It works great on Elite Dangerous and maps any function I choose so far. But when trying to use it in IL-2 Box, I end up with a frustrating situation. When starting the game, I get that the X-56 has been recognised and would I like to maintain the original joystick settings. I does not matter if I accept or decline, the axis and buttons are not recognised. If I go into key mapping, everything old and existing like throttle quadrants and rudder pedals works and maps fine, right up until I try to map anything on the X-52. It just freezes the screen and the only way out is to press "Esc" and return to key mapping. Total freeze of game every time I try. I have tried time and time again, with only joystick instead of full HOTAS, with joystick in various USB slots. And I cannot change what is happening. If I remove the X-56 and plug my old Extreme 3D pro back in, it maps and works fine. But the moment I go back to the X-52 all is crud again. Thanks in advance. Edited November 19, 2022 by Strewth
Strewth Posted November 20, 2022 Author Posted November 20, 2022 (edited) Well. For anyone interested, after hours upon hours over the last 3 days and nights, exhausting every single recommendation from across the web, I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling IL-2 completely. It recognised the X-56 setup straight away and now I am going through a whole process of key mapping, OpenXR and other alterations again. Cheers. Edited November 20, 2022 by Strewth
