Ok, lets keep it on task.

Everybody has their likes and dislikes, and regardless of what gets posted, somebody will not be happy.

It is what it is.

PersonalIy I find tanks rather a collections of targets. Its DD should be placed on its specific section. I feel it ruin a potential good DD. For me they are just not of interest.
marvels as they probably are and appreciated by many. But it is a section for it

Well I think this is a reason to keep it all together ...to give people a chance to expand their interests.

It took me two years to pick up Tank Crew - but I did end up enjoying it quite a bit in the end. So I'm glad I had to keep being reminded it existed.

Has anyone noticed the loader looks like he’s got a loading animation now? ?

it's been a update or two, but not for all tanks (I think it was just for the churchill...)

I don't understand the angst about armor.  I'm primarily a fly boy, but I do enjoy hopping in a tank and advancing through a heavily defended village on the east bank of the Rhine.  It's an interesting challenge when playing either side.

Bought the tanks on sale just to support the sim, never drove or set up controls, never even looked at all of them.  But it was the right call, they've upped the staff, more planes in bound, more partners and expansion with a brand new purpose and vision.  Fortune favors the bold, and it does lead to a increase in ground war fidelity, our air war can't really advance in its own limited vacuum without it, especially for a tactically based air war in which direction we have gone.

I found my posting to be on task, getting tank jockeys a bit upset is what I do.

you'll just have to explain to Gunther that the point of a shield is to hide behind to avoid bullets than to show your head...

So looking forward to both the C-47A and the StuG III.

IMHO what is asked for the collector vehicles and planes is in fact nothing compared to the work

that must have gone into it.

My guess is that the only way to help the Dev teams to succeed in their new projects is to

support them in every way possible.

I am also glad we are still seeing DDs again like the ones we got used to.

The best of it all is that there are still -at least- 3 collector planes to look forward to.

I'd definitely recommend at least loading it up... some fun things which don't require much effort:

- Looking around the inside of vehicles (most museums don't let you)

- Watching the different types of suspensions while driving over rough terrain

- Using the anti-aircraft fifty caliber machine gun of the Sherman while it is moving

- Firing a 152mm round into a train just as it is about to get over a railway bridge

- Trying to figure out where the weak spots are on enemy tanks (firing, switching to external view to see where the hit decal landed and then adjusting)... kind-of a puzzle game (although historical sources help).

- Bombarding a target at over 2km range using the Su-122 or Su-152

There are also some locations which are neat to explore on the ground.

Would this be too much to ask for at some future date? After all , its built out of canvas .plywood and fabric and has no engines- I'm no expert but it does look pretty simple when compared to flyable B-25's and B-26's....Yes I know its a pretty useless frosting on the cake kind of thing, but so it the V-1  isn't it?

The Stug is too yellow.  It needs more dunklegrun or the green thats there now  needs to be darker..  I don't get it- we have such great player made skins//cammos that blow the Official skins out of the water.  Why don't we use their work?  In online play, these yellow panzers are very easy to spot by planes who know how to use the render zones to their advantage.  While I agree the historical cammo jobs should match the period around the battle of Kursk,  the TC artists can do a much better job of trying to get the cammo right.  Below is a good example.

PS it's great that all the appropriate panzers are getting smoke too.  Big thanks for that.

So for balance in MP they should add not historical skins for Battle of Prokhorovka ? wonder why same exepton couldnt be done with IS-2 insted Churchill, that was pick because historic limits of BoP. Im petty so i vote for no unhistoric skins for axis tanks, just because balance MP :P

Excellent! C-47 and StuG are very welcome! When the template for Stug arrives, I'll have a heck of a work in front of me to paint all those Finnish StuG's :)

The picture he posted is actually a Stug 40 Ausf. G of 1. SS-Panzer Grenadier Division's own Sturmgeschützabteilung during Operation "Citadel" (featured i.e. in George Nipe's "Blood, Steel and Myth"). There is a wide spread of styles, applications and colour combinations possible since those camos were applied in the field with whatever they had at hand.

Map covers south front, was it there or up north ? does it fit map area and SP ?

2nd SS Panzerkorps formed the center of the german southern concentration. And while the Stugs weren't at Prokhorovka directly it was Leibstandarte that absorbed much of 5th Guard's Tank Army's assault on July 12.

I'm really interested in the C-47, but I'm afraid if I ask "the High Command" to buy it, she will just say "You're already getting a f$#@&*g Gooney Bird on Thursday!!" :help:

I don't know, I haven't flown in a long time, due to lack of time. Then I sniffed and BOX became addictive. And it still is, it eats up a lot of my time. But the initial enthusiasm has worn off. I sobered up. I bought a Normandy at a presale with enthusiasm, wanted a Typhoon, a Mossie, and looked forward to fuel management.
I got a super Typhoon, but not the cardoor variant I was hoping for as a modification. I got a great Mossie, in which it obstructs the view of a dickhead who can't even report a plane on sixth. Which the absent one in the old illo did. And I didn't get the tanks, so I got a lot of unfinished business. I enjoy flying, but I'll vote with my wallet. They won't even notice my few bucks in the budget, but maybe more people will.

No offense, but you should have known that wasn't going to come, since it was said from the announcement of BoN that they'd be modeling the 1944 style Typhoon - not something that was out of service by the end of 1943.

Yes, I know. But there are all sorts of weird modifications to the aircraft.
Would that really be such a problem?
And I don't suppose they'll produce a new canal map for 1942 :)

the way the m1-vla blimp is attached to a ship? must try that one with a c47a LoL ...

ADDED: just tried it but the blimp (target tied and waypointed as i did with ships) just seems torn loose and floats about loose.

It even crashed the game!

Yes, "it's such a problem", because everything takes up time and resources. What else are you willing to forgo so you can have a mod that was irrelevant to the Battle of Normandy?

That said, I could see a Channel Map 1942/1943 pack with a few variants and the Mustang Mk.I etc. as a means of funding improvements to the map (seasons, hedges, historically correct British targets).
