Bf109-E7 Request for hint locating bomb holder painting it properly

My dear Saints and Skinners ?

 

First I have to thank you for these great tutorials, you'd invested your time for us noobs like me ?

While going deeper in the matter, I encounterd in some problems (who wonders...).

 

1) The Bomb Holder Mystery

After finishing my first try of skinning, all worked fine so far. Even the smalest parts couldn't escape Poirot's long-lasting investigation ?.

But unfortunately later in bombing missions, I had to realize an unpainted bomb holder unlike it appears in the official skin in this traditionel green/grey. I tried to paint several parts, but nothing worked.

I have to admit I'm at my wit's end. Without really knowing what part in the skin template it is, it's a sheer time waster.

My latest suspect was the part in the third picture, but it's a piece of the "Aircraft Part"-Layer Group in combo with the "Shadows"-Layer Group. Any changes there result in no effect in contrast to all other Aircraft Parts I overpainted in the "Colours"-Layer Group. And probably I'm totally wrong.

 

2) The Photoshop-Gimp Enigma

After bravely following the tutorial instructions how preparing the *.psd file for loading in gimp, a Warning Message appears every time (see pic4 "GimpWarningMessage"). Which results in weired colours on the Gimp-Template.

What I found out is, that it's caused by the "Warm Hue"-Layer in the "Shadows"-Layer Group besides the "Fuel Leak"-Layer that is part of the "Weathering"-Layer Group. Both effects are seperate and not related. Disabling these two Layers by making them invisible Layers prevents the skin from looking strange, as you can see in the first pic, but it's nevertheless unsatisfying and not the solution, I think.

 

Any little hint from you would be highly appriciated ?

The 'Bomb Holders' aren't in the Public Template so whatever you do with the template won't show up on EITHER of the Holders. They're in the game's .gtp files which are embedded IN the game. 

YOU'RE not doing anything wrong with them, rest assured.

As far as GIMP goes I'm afraid I can't help because I use Photoshop. Hang tight and someone will chime in with an answer!
