Rogue-9 Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 I've just rolled over my Stalingrad campaign to Kuban and joined the II. SG1 (FW190 ground attack unit flying out of Anapa). Every single mission I fly, the game keeps getting faster and faster throughout the mission until it starts looking like one of those old hand cranked films that's running just slightly too fast. It's not quite as fast as 2x time compression but can go as far as being very difficult to play. At first I thought it might be connected to me starting a recording whenever going in for the bombing run but I've tried a few missions without recording and it still happens. I have let steam verify and fix the game file integrity but that has had no effect on this odd bug. Anyone else having this issue? Could it be the Kuban career mode? Maybe it's only the FW190 squadron that experiences this? I'll keep exploring to see if I experience the issue in other scenarios too but any hints in the meantime would be appreciated!
Rogue-9 Posted November 17, 2022 Author Posted November 17, 2022 To add: I started a completely new career in Moscow on the Russian side and I am still having the same issues. The game just feels as if it is running faster than it used to, to the point where it is difficult to fly or land. I have made no changes to my hardware in years, so this is completely out of the blue and not linked to my PC in any way.
KevPBur Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Not much help but I was flying the unit in my ongoing career on Wednesday evening without any issues. Mine is a career that that I created many months ago so maybe it is an issue with new careers but otherwise sounds more likely to be at your end. Do you have any existing careers you can try? Just a guess but do you have any mods enabled? 1

Not sure if it would result in something like this that you describe but it's worth checking that you haven't "tweaked" anything related to your system's timers, like HPET and the like which was all the rage at some point in gaming/simming circles. Also see about the career settings, if difficulty and/or front activity are set to high values you will likely get time dilation at some point and after that occurs the game will speed up for a while until it "catches up" - so it might be that you start out with time dilation, so a slower game, but as time progresses it gets over it (units are destroyed/despawned and there's lighter load on your CPU) and starts speeding up. Rogue-9 Posted December 7, 2022 Author Posted December 7, 2022 Thanks for the tips. So I can definitely confirm that I have not messed around with any files (neither on my PC in general or for the game specifically). I have played a bit of multiplayer and the issue does not occur there. Might try some quick missions or scripted campaign missions to see what the deal is there.
