Azdack Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Hello EMG by Vander is a great tool. Thanks very much. I play in single game type with ambient AI vehicles on several - Ambient AI aircraft 24 - Ambient AI activity aggressive on Normandy/Falaise Pocket/Player side allied. With those settings I often meet no bandit in the sky...what would be the settings to meet more ennemies in Normandy's sky? Thanks for answers.

If the other side does 'intercept', then you will meet aircraft for sure. If the other side is doing their own mission it depends if the enemy objective is close to where you will be flying. Then there are the ambient AI aircraft; they should be patrolling roughly in the area of your objective. However I just checked the code and due to a typo they will be patrolling in between the location of ther airfield and the objective, which is probably why you don't meet them often. I have fixed this for next release, thanks for reporting. For now it's better to set activity to "neutral" as there is a bit more chance of enemy planes patrolling near the objective. I have released the new update:

Hi, In general in Falaise pocket airfields are far away from each other. -My first ground attack: no enmy contact because the enemy intercepters fought against the ambient planes (6 ambient planes). -My second ground attack: worked, combat against enemy intercepters, no ambient planes -The intercept mission worked -I use for my missions normally 2 - 4 ambient planes Falaise-example-missions.zip Edited November 14, 2022 by kraut1
Azdack Posted December 2, 2022 Author Posted December 2, 2022 Don't know if it can help but I've found out a way as single player to have ennemies at target point... Actually as a newbie I thought that if one plays allied player side (or axis) it was useless to configure the other side...! Mistake! Yesterday I configured allied player side as leader for an intercept mission on Normandy. By axis side I configured an attack mission with Me 410 A-1 with an escort of Bf09 G-14. As planes start I configured for allied side on the ramp and for axis I skipped take off (because if I don't skip take-off the AI leader of the axis bombers often breaks something in his plane and prevents his wingmen to take off...Meanwhile the 109 escort was on the ramp too an took off properly. Once into the game I set an external view for ennemies planes to see what happens...I noticed that the EMG choosed to configured a flight of Fw 190 together with Me 410 A-1 all already flying and I could see that the Me410 I configured with their escort of Bf109 was flying for the Me410 (cause skip take off selected) and engines starting and then taxiing for the escort of Bf109... Why couldn't I find ennemies at target before ? Because up to my mind - but maybe I'm wrong -we have to configure the same planes start for both sides...cause if I start on the runway and the ennemies on the ramp I'll have to wait on target for ennemies taxiing, taking off and flying to the target too. As start on the runway I'll have to wait by turning around untill the ennemies arrive... Thanks in advance for comments...
