zan64 Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 so i have read from various articles that early war training hours varied widely - one source (which is lost to me while examining my search history) mentioned in passing that during early days when things were dire the best training for a military region was the far east that managed to get 100 flight hours in, followed by the caucuses region which managed 80 and these were really good compared to the regions on or near the front. In another article, Soviet ace Ivan Kozhedub said he got 100 hours training, and this was pre-war. so like anyone know 1941/1942 flight training regime or at least hours soviet pilots got before being sent to the front? would really be grateful for explanations regarding the regime like, when they learned what. found a lot on the Luftwaffe but very little on USSR air forces.
