Jodet Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 I see I can buy it. Does what you buy in November 2022 have career mode, campaigns, tutorials? You know, stuff you can get in ROF. So where is this franchise now? Any comments from folks who went ahead and bought it very welcome. I bought FC1 even though there wasn't much there to show my support for WW1 sims. Beginning to think that was not money well spent.
Jamppa Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Latest info is that FC2 and career comes out in february 2023. So some three (long) months to go ? 2
RNAS10_Mitchell Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 (edited) In short: FC2 planes have been released. Map is nearing completion, quick mission update will follow new map release. DM fixes are currently being worked on. And...over 100 players on the Flugpark for the last Sunday night fun fest..? Edited November 14, 2022 by RNAS10_Mitchell 1 1

So my comment is completely correct. OP asked "So where is this franchise now?". Not "So where will this franchise be in an undefined period of time?". (Sigh) Again, it's plainly obvious you've not been paying attention to anything posted recently, or else you'd had refrained from posting what amounts to nothing more than exaggerated hyperbole. Besides the Development Diary update last week, Han and Loft took quite a few questions about the state of FC in their YouTube interview. If you'd watched that you'd know that this "oh, we're just getting a bunch of broken FMs and nothing more" is a laugh.

OP asked what the current state of play is. I answered. OP didnt ask what the future state of play will be. And I have not commented on this. So the most recent commitments in posts and DD's I have not commented on in this thread.
Jodet Posted November 14, 2022 Author Posted November 14, 2022 Well, I guess I'll buy it when it goes on sale. I'm guessing that happens between November and January. 1
No.23_Starling Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 There’s a book coming soon containing some very sophisticated models of ww1 aircraft performance written by an accomplished professional aerospace engineer. Check out Ander’s website https://militaryaircraftperformance.com Book is due soon and he has already given us a taste of the content with some very interesting data showing what Rise of Flight got largely right or may need tweaking. Short of building exact replicas and pushing them to the limit we won’t get a better resource. 4 1

US41_Low Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Provide documentation from a book that has yet to be published? At any rate, some info on the subject is referenced in another thread. 1
