CloD has had AI Sunderlands & Kondors since the very beginning, and that was years ago, complete with working turrets.(Recently their AI 2 engined Wellington has had an upgrade it make it flyable with workable turrets.)I realize it would take a lot of work from the Great Battles crew , but at the very least could greatly expand the missions over Europe and if there ever is a Pacific theater B-24's and B-17's would work well there as well As many already know Microprose has two or more B-17 sims in the works. It will be interesting to watch them develop.... but GB BoX has such a long successful history already of developing new aircraft, one would think they could deliver very credible 4 engine Ai bombers ( like the beautiful 2 engine ones we now have,) in the future. In real life, Condor pilot just pushed throttles forward and waved Sunderland goodbye, as it has 40 km/h higher top speed. 1
viperGerson Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Im a single player. And that kind of immersion would produce a much more realistic feeling to the player wish you all the best 1

WVS-TheMowe Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 I have been there too since before the Russian brought it and I have purchased well over 50 paid accounts many of them full accounts with all the planes some with just the Stalingrad & Moscow though I really believe just ONE semi warthunder type senerio could boost The Company's revenue considerably.

But had my chances to hold the yoke and stick in a couple of choppers and Cessna I found it a bit of boring. But doing a Cessna in msfs IFR keeping altitude 17 degrees turn looking at the stopwatch. It kind of give a feeling of accomplishment and joy, not like sitting in the real thing afraid of messing it up and have no idea where to go and what to say. And the time spent getting to the plane, make it ready , do the checks , with pretty high expence , just to fly in circles, made me reconsider PPL. It was kind like when I scubadived on wrecks. You spend a couple of days for a couple of 20 minutes sessions. It’s cool , but it ain’t worth it in the long run , family and work and so on

If you have the real passion for flying then nothing absolutely nothing will replace the real thing. Where I can agree is that there is a lot of training and you cannot cut corners, but it is the passion that transforms all that into a pleasant experience. It is never, never repetitive as even if you fly ten times the same pattern it will always be different, even if it is for a similar result, but just trying to make it perfect is already an very big motivation. Because the engine behind all this is the passion. I was lucky to have the financial power to afford the expenses even if I had a family of five to keep up with, but when you have passion you can also communicate it, and you find solutions. Being a professional engineer trained in physics, mechanics, electronics and computer science, I had also the advantage of having no issue with all the theoretical/technical aspects. But the financial and technical aspects have never been a brake or a stop to passionate people. Around me I had all type of profiles but we all had in common this same passion. And some were really low on the financial scale, or far from any technical training, and they sacrificed a lot of other things, and maybe did their cursus at a slower pace but the financial issue never stopped them, and we did help each other as this is again a community sharing the same passion. And in our European countries flying is much more challenging than in the US where it is more common and less expensive and complicated. In Europe where we are seen more as a nuisance, kind of a small bunch of privileged people, you have really to earn the right to fly against all odds and sometimes a pile of absurd regulations that try to kill our passion.

In Norway we have strict nature conservation program. Cannot use motorised vehicles in it. I figure that is a good thing, but it leave you with runways and ocean. Latter is useless most of the time most of the places. I am really not comfortable spending 10 k $ year keeping a PPL if I can get cheap tickets letting others fly me. It is not that fun sitting in a cramp Cessna for hours while a Dash spend minutes on the same thing. this reflect my sim interest too. Sometimes I want to spend time with startups. Others not. Serious today, not so much tomorrow. I turned on the door many times for ppl. I regret not my choice not to take it. It simply for me is not worth it Edited December 15, 2022 by Lusekofte
