jollyjack Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 How nice would it be if you could start a mission at some start points halfway through for testing ME edits. Especially long missions.

Zooropa_Fly Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Indeed. What you can do is work with an SP mission, rather than 'dogfight', if in fact you don't already. With that you can fast-forward to event times. Obviously when the testing is finished you re-save the mission as 'dogfight' format. S!
jollyjack Posted November 8, 2022 Author Posted November 8, 2022 I never use 'dogfight', always SP; what's the benefit of dogfight mode, latter seems only working in MP?
Zooropa_Fly Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Apologies JJ, I think I meant to say 'deathmatch' ! (it was late). Yes, for MP.
AEthelraedUnraed Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 Can't you just place the aircraft wherever you expect it to be at a certain time, and make it an airstart? 1
jollyjack Posted November 9, 2022 Author Posted November 9, 2022 (edited) That's f'sure, but i was testing mainly ships and vehicle behavior, and firingpoints with camera operators. Edited November 9, 2022 by jollyjack
Gambit21 Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 I'm confused. Just put a temporary trigger to whatever behaviors you want to test. I've honestly never ever in all my time building run into such an issue jack. For aircraft, like Unrae said just use a test aircraft and place where you need it. In DCS by the way, there's no placing test aircraft hooked into the same logic like with IL2...makes testing much more tedious. 1
