Not able to find Russian Squadrons.

Greetings! Wanting to start a Hurricane Campaign in PWCG but I cannot find the 157th squadron. And when I try to look at squadron list without picking Campaign map I don't get any squadrons up. I do on all other nations other than the Russians. Also, are there no campaign for the P-39?

The 157th is listed as an attack squadron, not a fighter squadron. For the P-39, try the 16th Guards and 45th Guards, both of which are available with the P-39 (16th also has P-40s) on 01/03/1943.

 

To get Soviet squadrons (and Eastern Front German ones) to show up you have to set the date to at least 01/10/1941, only Western Front squadrons are available before that.

May not be totally up to date as this dump was from a while ago but for what it is worth. So, to fly the aircraft of choice you'd need to join the appropriate unit and then either progress through missions until the aircraft you want is given to the unit as resupply or start the campaign after the appropriate date. EG P39 you could join the 126th in the VVS in 1941 and fly P40s for a few years until the P39 arrives or you could join the 16th Guards starting the campaign after March 1, 1943.

 

It'd be a big change for Pat to make to PWCG, but it possibly would be better to make the GUI nationality/aircraft centric (ie pick nationality and aircraft and then be offered a list of units and time periods and maps) rather than coming in by map and time period as you always have to use some trial and error or a dump like this to end up in the unit and aircraft you want.
