brooka Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Hello. i recently got Cliffs of dover blitz on steam, but i have not been able to load the game. it tries to load, and then stops. it doesnt show any error and i dont even get in to a kind of loading screen. i have disabled my anti virus, and reinstalled. and followed all the suggestions in the supplied PDF. i have also followed advice from other players, but the problem has remained the same. i have searched in my documents folder for the "1C Softclub" folder, but it its not there. i cant find it. Could you please assist me, as i really would like to play this game. Thanks. Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted November 3, 2022 Team Fusion Posted November 3, 2022 I would recommend you have a look at the 'Getting Started and Troubleshooting Guide'. It is located in the 'manuals' folder in your main CLIFFS install folder. Did you install the game to another drive other than 'C'? If you did, then the game may have created the 1C Softclub folder somewhere other than in your 'documents'. Recommend you start again... uninstall the game, delete all folders and game components, then install again, with Microsoft Defender and any 3rd party software turned off. Also please look this thread: Do not run Steam peripherals... just the basic Steam.
=BNA=Laskin Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Hello. I have absolutely the same problem. The game is complete fresh install, I never had it before. When I click to start it in steam, the green button gets blue (running) for 2-3 seconds, actully it even doesn´t want to load something, then the button gets green again (Play). I underline that I installed and then reinstalled the game a couple of times and did exactly what is suggested in the PDF file and here in the forum, I will list even what I did after reading your suggestion @Buzzsaw -Installed with AV completly disabled (I have only Win Defender) -Aldough turned off I also put exception for the launcher64.exe -Doublechecked MC Framework latest version installed -Win10 Controlled Folter is turned off! -No peripherials pluged into the laptop -Steam Overlay is turned also off -I don´t have MSI Afterburner -Only steam runns as 3rd party program -One screen its a laptop (btw its 144Hz and I switched it to 60Hz and still doesn´t want to work) -MS Visual installed -Doublechecked today Nvdia and Win drivers updated! -I have WT, I force stopped gaijin.net and also deleted the related folder in Appdata -Run as administrator -Couple of restarts of the PC inbetween installations Nothing worked out. I couldn´t find 1C Softclub folder in the whole C:Drive (I am only with one drive so the game is installed there too) Here what I´ve got from event viewer: Application: Launcher64.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Thanks!
OBT-Eazy Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 (edited) I've got this problem few days ago but disappear magically. Maybe after a windows update, i don't know. Can you check the event viewer if you find something like "file not found" in the error message (this was the error message I got)? Edited December 2, 2022 by OBT-Eazy
